The best shot from the opening was when the brakes were shown and the main focus was on them. this forshadows what will happen later on in the upcoming scenes. The fact that at the beginning there was a child who looked depressed or effected by sone thing bad, sets sense of suspense and keeps the viewers wondering what has happened or what will happen. The young girl Anna later on passes away and this makes the beginning scene make more sense and the different scenes all fit in with the accident. The images in 'three colours blue' are a lot more powerful than the sound. this is because there's a lot of meaning and questions behind the images. The focus tends to be more on the scenes than the sound. Also there was little dialogue in the opening which allowed the viewers to think for themselves what the storyline will be about
